Through Christ You Are Set Free.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” 2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you surrender to Christ, He gives you the power to surrender and submit to His Word. It is not by your own good works or deeds that you are saved. It is through Jesus Christ that you are set free and delivered from the bondages and strongholds of sin. 2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”

As you surrender to Christ, He gives you the power and stamina to obey His Word in 2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ is procliming that, God gives you everything that you need to live a life that reflects Him. It is through Jesus Christ that you are reconciled back to God. It is through Jesus Christ that your old man dies and the lusts and appetite of the past is broken. It is through the Blood of Jesus Christ that you are set free from the bondage and enslavement of sin. You are free in Christ.

It is through Jesus Christ, that you’re able to live out and walk out the Word of God. Only Christ can give you the power to submit and to obey His Word. When you receive Christ, the Word becomes alive, active, and operative in your life. When you receive Christ, He gives you the power to live out and walk out the principles of His Word. Through Christ you are set free. When you are in Christ, the power of sin no longer has a grip on your life. When you are in Christ, sin does not have the authority to rule in any area of your life. When you are in Christ, you have the choice to live free in Him. Choose life. Choose freedom. Surrender to Christ.
